1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Image Toolkit at image-toolkit-hb.web.app and all tools and pages available on it (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. The service
Image Toolkit provides free browser-based tools for resizing, compressing, converting, editing and inspecting images, and for working with PDF files. The tools are provided for personal and commercial use, subject to these Terms. We may add, change, suspend or discontinue any tool or feature at any time without prior notice.
Most processing happens locally in your browser. We do not guarantee that every file format, device or browser will be supported.
3. No account required
You can use the Service without creating an account. You are responsible for the device, browser and internet connection you use, and for keeping your own backups of any file before processing it.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use of the Service by, any other person. In particular, you must not:
- process, create or distribute content that is illegal, defamatory, fraudulent, hateful, harassing, obscene or exploitative of minors;
- use the Service to infringe copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights of any person;
- upload, convert or share material that you do not have the legal right to use;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its servers or any connected systems;
- introduce malware, viruses or any other harmful code or material;
- use automated scripts, bots or scrapers to access the Service in a way that places an unreasonable load on it;
- copy, resell, sublicense or otherwise commercially exploit the Service itself, its code or its design without our written permission;
- remove or alter any copyright, trademark or other proprietary notices;
- use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, overburden or impair it.
We reserve the right to block access, at our discretion, where we reasonably believe these rules have been broken.
5. Your content and intellectual property
You keep all rights to the images, PDFs and other files you process. Because processing happens in your browser, we do not receive or store your files and we claim no ownership or licence over them. You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights and permissions to use, edit and distribute any file you process.
The Service itself — including its name, logo, design, text, layout and source code — is owned by or licensed to Image Toolkit and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by these Terms or by law.
6. Third-party services and links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites and may display advertising served by third parties such as Google AdSense. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, products, services or privacy practices of those third parties. Your dealings with advertisers or linked sites are solely between you and them.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any result will meet your requirements or a particular file-size or quality target.
You use the Service at your own risk. Always keep a copy of the original file before processing it.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Image Toolkit and its owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, files, profits, revenue, goodwill or business opportunity, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
This includes, without limitation, loss caused by a file being compressed, resized, converted or otherwise altered in a way you did not expect, or by a download failing. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to use it, which is zero.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Image Toolkit and its owner from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your files or content, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
10. Changes to the service and these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows the latest revision. Changes take effect when they are posted. Your continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you should stop using the Service.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice, including where we believe these Terms have been violated. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and indemnity — will continue to apply.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
13. Entire agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
